I never tried this slaw before I saw it at a home extention booth and it was so good. Never tried it on a sandwich before but I sure will soon. A great way to dress up any turkey or even ham for the holidays or even to use on leftover turkey sandwiches. There is a super video along with the recipe.

YUM! How happy am I to be able to re-create this delicious classic Panera's Extinct Sandwich Recipe at home. It is equally as good, if not even better than I remember it. The crunchiness of the slaw and apples, combined with the creamy texture of the cheese is absolutely perfect. I like to keep some of the slaw on the side to eat along with it. The slaw recipe on it's own makes a great side dish to accompany any sandwich.

I've never had the pleasure of enjoying this sandwich from Panera's before but it sounds wonderful. Rye is such a compliment to any turkey sandwich and no doubt the slaw and cheddar will make it special enough to want it over and over again. As for the bread, I think I'd have to grill it which would give it another element of flavor and, keep it from getting soggy as well.

Ugh, this sounds soooo good. I worked at Panera back in the day and I still love their food. This looks so delicious--especially the rye bread. Apples and melty cheese go so well together, too!

I remember this sandwich. Years ago when I used to have a sales job near the mall I would go to Panera since it was really close and I'd get this every week. It was sooooo good! I am going to start making this myself at home. I will probably use sliced rotisserie chicken meat in place of the turkey since I always have it on hand. I can't wait to eat it again - it's been too long!
