Buttercream Icing
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 1/2 teaspoon clear vanilla
- 5 cups confectioners sugar
- 2-3 Tblsp milk
Instructions
Cream butter and shortening then add vanilla. Add sugar a cup at a time beating on medium speed. Add milk 1 Tblsp at a time and beat on high until fluffy. HINT: To cut the sweetness I usually add about 1/4 tsp. of salt dissolved in the vanilla. Makes 3 1/2 cup.
