Strawberry Gelato

Searching for a gelato recipe for that Fourth of July Party? Strawberry Gelato is a fun and delicious treat to cool down this summer. Everyone loves an ice cream summer social, but this recipe could be a new one to try out this year!

Ingredients

  • 1 pint ripe strawberries
  • 1 cup water, very hot
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull strawberries. Puree strawberries in blender.
     
  2. Heat water until very hot. Remove from heat and add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Set aside to cool.
     
  3. Combine strawberry puree with cooled sugar syrup, lemon juice, and orange juice.
     
  4. Freeze until firm.
