Wow...this may just be the easiest recipe I've ever seen! I remember when I first had an apple pie from McDonald's, they were so good...but they are so different now, weird huh? The pies in the picture look so much better than those from McDonald's so I'm definitely gonna be trying this recipe...but, I think I'll make my own filling, pie crust and bake them instead of frying. The cool thing is...you can use any type of filling you like and freeze any extra pies that you're not planning to eat right away!

I loved the apple pies at McDonalds when they first came out. They were delicious. I really like the idea that I could make them at home. I am not into frying things but this would be an occasional treat. Now I have to find the perfect filling. I will probably make it myself as I am very picky about the type of apple and the spices I want in an apple pie. What is your favorite apple for pie? Mine, believe it or not, is McIntosh.

The presentation of these copycat fried apple pies is mouthwatering. I love me some apple pies from McDonald's but like everything, they just are not as good as they use to be. I am hoping this will take me back to the 80's and be a great apple pie.

Our McDonald's is still open as I post this and this recipe is making me want to run out and get one. I like to find knock-off recipes and try them just to see how close they come. This is a very easy version for an apple pie so I think I will bypass the local drive-thru and grab the ingredients to make these pies myself.

That's it. I'm making these, no questions asked, no doubt about it. How can you possibly go wrong with this easy little recipe. Just throw together some store bought ingredients, and voila, no fuss, no muss, no bother, you have delicious fresh apple pies. I'm going to make them with a glaze on top, just to switch it up a bit.

This recipe seems super easy and I love McDonald's pies. I like the idea of making them with different ingredients. I also like that you can fry them in a regular pan and not have to pull out the deep fryer. Has anyone tried these and do they stay together well or does the filling end up oozing out? Does anyone use a special tool for crimping or just fork tines?

These would be great to pack in lunches for school or work. They would be so much better than the ones you can buy at the store and more economical if you the ingredients on sale. You could make all kinds of fried pies using different fillings. Cherry, blueberry, peach.

I think I will try to make this for my family for Valentine's Day dessert. I wonder if anyone has tried to make this using a different kind of oil? I like using peanut oil for most of my frying. Though I mainly make savory dishes. I am wondering if anyone has tried another oil? Can't wait to make this dessert!!

Yes, I would love to know how to make this completely homemade too. I love working with copycat recipes so I can see if they really taste so close to the real thing that you can fool someone else into thinking it is the original. Thanks for putting this one up, I want to try it but with a few variations if it does not pan out this way.
