Cheesy Hamburger Pie

This fantastic casserole recipes has crescent rolls forming the top and bottom, the "buns" of the dish, and is filled with ground beef and shredded cheese. It's the easiest way to serve hamburgers for the family.

  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10.75-ounces) Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 (8-ounces each) packages of refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 cup your favorite shredded cheese


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Stir the soup in the skillet.

  3. Unroll 1 package crescent roll dough and press on the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Press the seams to seal.

  4. Layer half the beef mixture and half the cheese in the pie plate. Repeat the layers. Unroll the remaining dough. Place the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal, if desired.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

This is a very easy recipe that would be good for a weeknight meal when dinner needs to be ready as soon as possible. To add more of a flavor profile to this, after cooking the ground beef, I would add chopped onions and chopped green bell peppers, and cook them before stirring in the mushroom soup.

I made this the other night and my son is who very picky had two helpings of it and I even got a "honey, you did good" from my husband! Definitely going to be making this again!

We make something very similar but we add drained green beans to the meat as well.

my kids love helping me make this. It is quick and easy and everyone loves it.
