Irish Apple Cake

- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 6 ounces butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4 large apples, cored, peeled, and diced
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
Irish Apple Cake Recipe
Grease and flour an 8" round springform pan.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Place apples in a large bowl.
Top with ¾ cup sugar.
In a large bowl of a stand mixture with the paddle attachment, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
Add the apple/sugar mixture and the egg/milk mixture to the flour and beat on low to combine.
Pour dough batter in pan.
Bake for 45-50 minutes.
Serve with a glaze (optional).
