Old Fashioned Beef and Noodles
Grandma knows best. These old fashioned beef and noodles are a comforting classic.
This recipe for Old Fashioned Beef and Noodles is just like Grandma used to make. It's hearty, comforting, and made with simple ingredients that somehow transform into something amazing. We love this recipe in the colder months, but it is really perfect all year long. Give it a try!
One of the things that we love about this classic beef and noodles recipe is that making it feels like you've travelled back in time. You'll spend a little more time on prep (although it is easy to do), and then you'll sit back and relax while the beef braises away all afternoon.
Curl up with a good book or a craft project and while away the hours at the slow pace of yesteryear. We definitely enjoy this style of cooking, and we hope you do too!

Old Fashioned Beef and Noodles Recipe
Heat a Dutch oven (any braising dish will work) over medium high heat and preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
Place olive oil in the Dutch oven and sear the beef, 4 minutes per side.
Remove the beef and set aside. Add the onions and garlic into the pot. Cook until the onions are translucent. Deglaze the pan with the white wine.
Add the 2 cups beef stock and bring to a boil. Add the beef back in and cover the pan with the lid.
Place in the oven for 3-4 hours. Turn the beef over halfway through.
When the beef is falling apart tender, break it apart into bite sized clumps.
Place Dutch oven on stove and add remaining stock. Bring to boil and add noodles.
Let simmer, uncovered. Cook until noodles are tender, about 10 minutes.
